The Connecticut Department of Public Health has issued the following two documents containing new guidelines for how to handle illness and workers in the food industry as well as an update on H1N1 in the state. 

Guidelines for Restricting Food Service Workers from Commercial Food Establishments

Revised Guidelines for Reporting and Restricting Ill Food Workers

CT DPH has also notified us that the New York Department of Environmental Conservation has issued a recall on Shellfish harvested and sold from Mount Sinai Harbor in New York.  The following alert will provide you with details.

July 7, 2009--Plainview Milk Products Cooperative, of Plainview, MN is voluntarily recalling a variety of products that have been manufactured over the past two years because of possible Salmonella contamination.  Visit  the Food & Drug Administration page dedicated to this recall to find out which products are affected. 
 
Recall on Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough PDF Print E-mail

June 19, 2009 -- Nestlé USA's Baking Division of Solon, OH is issuing a voluntary recall of Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough products because of the possible presence of E. coli O157:H7 contamination. The FDA is advising consumers to avoid consumption of these products and discard any remaining product consumers may have in their homes.
